This year, the event “Forschung trifft Sparkasse” will again be held in cooperation with Berliner Sparkasse – this time virtually.
You can expect exciting presentations from students who have written their theses in cooperation with the Fürstenau working group. Viewers will get an insight into the research of the Digital Innovation Lab.

As part of the “Exploratory Project AI in Nursing” (SoKIP), the Datathon #AI4Care brought together several experts from various fields to develop digital innovation ideas for nursing. On the website of N3xtcoder the recording of the meetup is available as video.

Digitalization plays a key role in the way we live our lives and is transforming what it means to work.
What are the consequences of digitalization on the nature of work? Is there is a need for more socially participatory informed analysis of the uptake of digitalization for work and everyday life?
Despite the current situation, the joint IFIP conference (IFIP 8.2, 9.1, 9.4) on “The Future of Digital Work: The Challenge of Inequality” will be held in Hyderabad, India, from 10 to 11 December 2020.
The research focus of the Digital Innovation Lab is on digital platforms and ecosystems (especially in the healthcare sector) and IT management. The research is carried out using methods of advanced quantitative data and network analysis, among others.
Prof. Fürstenau supervises courses in digital transformation, digital platforms and ecosystems as well as advanced methods of data and network analysis (e.g. simulation, metaheuristics) at FU Berlin and Copenhagen Business School.
